Good pitching wins baseball games. Always has, always will. It's all about "muscle memory
The PORT-A-MOUND Portable Pitchers Mound" gives players the ability to develop good pitching skills and techniques that will significantly enhance "muscle memory". How? By placing players on an elevated, sloped platform that closely simulates the real baseball pitching mound. This enables the player to pitch repetitively with the natural step, throw and downward follow-through delivery that is the foundation of all good pitching. In turn, this greatly enhances individual technique including proper delivery for a variety of pitches that will be incorporated and enhanced as players progress in their development. PORT-A-MOUND is an elevated Portable Pitchers Mound that mirrors the height and slope of an actual baseball pitching mound that will be pitched from in game situations. We know (see Jeff Montgomery Letter) that the Port-A-Mound portable pitchers mound will help youth baseball pitchers improve skills as well and give teams a competitive edge.
PORT-A-MOUND was designed to serve youth baseball teams from ages 7 to 14. It’s specific purpose is to provide a baseball pitching mound simulation where one may not exist... specifically practice fields, indoor training facilities and baseball complex warm-up and bullpen areas. (These usually provide only a flat pitching environment). Our marketing philosophy is pretty simple: Provide competitive youth baseball teams and pitchers a way to simulate practice and warm-up game situations at a reasonable cost. This portable pitchers mound does it all.
Take it with you anywhere.
"It's Portable"
Whether it's for a team or individual player, The PORT-A-MOUND portable pitchers mound can be used anywhere. Outdoor practice fields, indoor practices, "bullpen" warm-ups and even the backyard. It is a truly affordable, lightweight, durable and totally portable pitchers mound.
Field Testing
The finished product has been tested extensively this season (2002) by Jeff Montgomery, former Kansas City Royals relief pitcher and their all time games saved leader. He utilized a Port-A-Mound baseball pitching mound for his 12 an under USSSA, AAA team in over 80 games and hundreds of practices this season. Click here for Jeff Montgomery letter.

About the Inventor
The Port-A-Mound portable pitchers mound was conceived and developed by John Kizer. Mr. Kizer has coached teams in USSSA baseball competition since 1999. His teams in the major division have all been "tournament teams". Mr. Kizer's teams have traveled across the country, played in USSSA World Series Tournaments and won back to back Kansas State Championships. He played high school baseball in the Kansas City area and played college baseball at Emporia Sate University. Jeff Montgomery's (who has been invaluable in the development of Port-A-Mound) record at the major league level speaks for itself.
